TruGreen - Tru green burnt my new sod
My lawn looked beautiful until they applied fertilizer too heavy on areas of my lawn. They said they got a bad batch of chemicals but clearly the lawn burnt only in spots where the technician in training applied it too heavy.
the manager was to come over and assess it and he has been no show.
i sent a detailed complaint to BBB and they have 30 days to resolve this. The fact the technician said sorry and that I should water it extra and this was told to me while I was going on vacation for the Fourth of July, therefore, on the Holiday weekend I had to get a family member to drive a half hour to water my lawn.
Monetary Loss: $1700.
Location: Brick Township, New Jersey

My lawn looked better before Trugreen's services. I made several calls which were totally ignored.
After that I withheld payment. To see the results after 2 seasons of TG service, see my video on www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8XMbx7cQ-v
That below - coming from Memphis, Headquarters of TruGreen. Shady, shady, shady.......
Really people? You mean to tell me that you have absolutley nothing better to do with your time, then to complain about friggin GRASS????
Do you realize how utterly ignorant it is that you feel the need to keep up with the Jones's so bad, that you are even willing to pay for a lawn service??? DUH that's all I can say....Idiots.....
My TruBrown lawn looks just like the photograph posted on Aug 01, 2011 by the "West Chicago" customer. Now TruGreed is sending me to collections for non-payment.
*** No, I won't pay them for their *** job!
But I will be contacting the State's Atttorney Generals Office, Consumer Fraud Division!!!! :( :( :( :( :(
As an employee of TG, I apologize. I was also told that we received a "bad batch" of chemicals.
Was it nationwide? It seems like it. I don't feel that TG is doing enough to correct the damage this 'bad' fertilizer has caused. Just simply seeding the damaged areas and calling it good, isn't enough.
We should be raking out those areas, seeding, topdressing. Although I wish we could water it for you I know that's impossible. Ask for your next service (or 2) for no charge to make up for increased time spent on your part and increased watering needed. Also go to the Attny General if you have to.
At least in my area, BBB and AG complaints are automatic credits of billings. Good luck and I'm sorry for your experience.
