To give a good report on Mr. Tyler W.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My review is that Tyler and his helper were kind and concerned about my yard. He was careful not to spray my vegetable plants. Very observant in the surroundings of my yard. Concerned about my lawn. He told me I didn't have anything to worry about, my lawn will be very beautiful this year. Thank you, Tyler.

Great Place!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have worked for 3 lawn companies over the past 15 years. I now work at TruGreen and have been here for a good amount of time I spent 3 years in Denver, Co tele-pod(small call center) selling the entire nation TruGreen services. It was great! people you work with are awesome. Vary diverse group, great starting wage at 14 an hour plus great commission for most starting positions. except for Audit department they start at 12.50 an hour but its all scripted and a lot of redundancy. I transferred to the Youngstown Ohio servicing branch for Audit was in that position for about 3 months. I was only in that position for a short time as I had no challenge to grow with myself. I did go to neighborhood sales for Youngstown, Oh directly after that. That position was great too. Became the top sales rep at that branch in the first year doing neighborhood sales/residential. Then I was offered a position to be a Branch Sales Manager I accepted. and transfered to Elyria, Oh and TruGreen paid to move my entire family. I thought that was awesome! I think that YES, problems exist in every company its "do you want to stay with the best you know or the beast you do not know". I think this company overall treats the employees very well. Yes, people are over worked but they pay overtime unless your salary and if you are salary they stop at 52 Hrs and the salary guys make great commission at 500-**** a week come on. if you grossed 1500 a week that includes your base pay you should love what you do, and you do not even need a degree. They have some work to do just like every company. They are making big changes over the next couple years we have a new CEO and he has already made great headway in pleasing the employees and consumers of TruGreen. We are restructuring the company in a way to improve customer and employee satisfaction. One last thing the only time I hear bad things about how the company is ran is by persons who have no clue how to even run a company in the first place. I would like someone who has at least some type of business degree such as myself give opinion on how TruGreen is ran. ( I have a rep who has grossed over 50,000 this year already and he started in January) let that say something! TruGreen Is a Great Company!

The myriad of NEGATIVE reviews on TruGreen's own Facebook page says otherwise. As there is a whole lot of pissed TruGreed customers AND employees out there!

Pricing mailed to me by TruGreen not honored

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I received a priced invoice/invitation to receive services for my lawn, in the mail, from TruGreen. When I went to pre-pay for these services, in full, they would not honor the pricing. In fact the prices quoted to me on the phone were averaged $40.00 per service more! I spoke with 4 people/salespersons, and 1 corporate (800-515-****) yesterday and finally thought this was resolved. But.....I called to pay today and the corporate person would not honor the pricing and kept wanting to send me to a salesperson. I've had enough! I was a loyal customer for 4 years and have now had to find a new company for my lawn care. I am now heading to my lawyers' office and the Better Business Bureau to show them my document from TruGreen and discuss the fact that TruGreen would not honor it. Please note that my shabby treatment does not reflect on the polite persons who actually apply the lawn treatments. If TruGreen wants a copy of the invoice/pricing sent to me dated January 30, 2017 from them, I would be happy to mail a copy.

Best lawn in the neighborhood

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I started using Trugreen about four years ago. Never had any complaints. When they took over I had the worst lawn in the neighborhood by far, dandelions, chickweed, crabgrass, dead spots. Great improvement the first year and by year two I have the best lawn in the area. I have since cut back the service to four treatments per year. They do occasionally annoy me with recommendations to treat the shrubbery which I have just ignored, as well as other treatments. I guess this positive review will be deleted since the sites title is "pissed consumer", but many of the reviews I read are obviously written by total Jack....es. I would highly recommend Trugreen.

In Defence of True Green

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I've used True Green for over 6 years and my lawn looks amazing! My wife and neighbors say it looks like carpet. However, the property owner has to do SOMETHING. True Green doesn't do magic lawn. Mowing properly is extremely important. Keep the blades sharp. Don't scalp your lawn, cut no shorter that 4 or 5 inches. Watering is important during the right time of day. A beautiful lawn doesn't just happen because you use True Green. The pictures I saw in some of these complaints looked like cases of cutting to short, and improper watering for the most part. In the case of "brown patch" that is caused by watering in the evening when temps are very warm and no application of fungicide. If you would like a beautiful lawn, you need to work at it and educate yourself about lawn care in the area of the country where you live and not rely completely on some guy stopping by to fertilize and feed your lawn once every 5 to 6 weeks.

Lawn care service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I had a soil sample taken by a service tech in Sept or Oct last year. I wanted to be ready for spring planting. The tech said it would take about 6 wks for the sample to be tested. Two months later I asked him about the soil sample he said he would check on it. The next time he came back he asked me if the test results were sent to me. I said no and asked if True Green had gotten it. The tech said that the results would only be sent to me. I scratched my head and said "really". The tech said he would check on it and let me know. The soil sample taken was now about 4 months ago. I never heard back from him. I called customer service and they said they would check. That reminds I have to look and see if I was charged for the sample. Anyway on Friday 4/3/2015 I again called customer service, explained the details and she said a service manager would call me in 48 hr. So I let 48 business hrs pass - no call. I called to cancel me service on Wed 4/8/13. Get this about an hour after I cancelled the service the service manager called me.

I have asked to stop my account... They keep calling anyway and I asked to be on the do not call list.

They keep calling anyway. Today someone from 404-314-**** called to say they know the messed up with me and wanted another chance. I said no way and I should be on the no call list... He abruptly hung up on me...

These people are RUDE and disrespectful. I called the Home Office and they referred me to the local branch that hung up on me.

The only decent person in that office is named Les. However, if you get a call from 404-314-**** Do NOT answer as there is a rude and disrespectful person on the other end!

If You Love Your Pets DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

First appointment was for Thursday because we needed to be home to secure the dogs. Then get a call for Tuesday. Not what we said. Then crew was to be here at 10:30 because we work at night. The first crew arrives at 8am. He opens up the locked gate and does not close it. And then tech says we signed up for Fire Ant which we did not sign up for. We complained all morning how the techs left the gate open. Now the aerating crew leaves the gate open now our little girl whippet is missing. Wife is extremely upset. An innocent dog may have lost her life because of stupidity. Don't you never step foot on my property again. I wish I could put her picture up here so you can see the precious face that is now gone. How can you replace this life? Please keep prayers open for her safe return.

So your wife didn't check that the gate was closed even though you knew they had left it open before? And they are supposed to be responsible for your dog being missing?

Maybe they would have listened about the gate if you asked them respectfully instead of this... "We complained all morning how the techs left the gate open". It's called an honest mistake and not a big deal. Just close the gate.

I always check my gates before I let my dogs out if someone was working in the yard. I take responsibility for my dogs safety, even when someone makes an honest mistake.

Maybe get a new outlook and life will be much easier (and safer for your pets). Also, please don't have kids.
