TruGreen has always done a great job on my lawn. No weeds, good color. I did pay extra for aerations and over time they did a great job. I was told it would take 2 years at least to get rid of my weeds and it did. The tech always left notes as to what I needed to do. Granted there is no magic wand, and I think most people have unrealistic expectations. Price is cheaper than if I did it myself.

With over 2 million customers, not all will be happy, but they must be doing something correct.

I will now go drink a beer and relax.

DO NOT HIRE TRUGREEN. THEY ARE UN-AMERICAN!!!!

I checked TruGreen's Facebook page, and what I an finding is a lot more complaints than compliments. I work in customer service. So I know that it takes 10 compliments to make up for 1 complaint. I see a running theme that the Technicians are doing a poor job, and that customer service is also poor.

Employee posts about TruGreen say that this company has a revolving door of both employee and customer turnover. I wonder why? It becomes quite apparent that many of the negative issues that customers face when doing business with TruGreen stems from, in one way or another, the maltreatment of their employees, on a most basic level. Upon analyzing the myriad of reviews of this company, it is very self-evident that this corporation's business practices are very unethical.

In the end, the employees cannot be blamed for the structure of the corporate policies which force them to perform their jobs in the way that they do. So, I strongly urge that NO ONE DOES ANY BUSINESS WITH TRUGREEN!!!!

There is no weight in your fabricated story that is built on nothing more than your own opinion. I have been with Trugreen for 6 years and I have never seen a company grow as much as TruGreen has grown.

And we are not "Technicians" we are state certified specialists! I'm sorry for your unhappy experience you obviously had. I'm sure with the way your accusations come across that you are just an angry pissed customer that is looking to blame TruGreen for your own mistake on not reading and following the detailed notes that we take pride in leaving for our customers. In some markets people change lawn care providers like they change their under ware.

This is due to the lack of understanding expectations. We do proform miricals, just not over night. And we are not an American company? My how wrong you are.

We are an all American Family that work hard and take pride in what we do. TruGreen is not going anywhere, we are growing everywhere.

Do you have any idea what actually goes on in your branches? Your technicians are extremely overworked and placed under constant duress to hit completely unreasonable numbers. Do you work outdoors in 12 hour shifts? Do you do this 5-6 days a week? Have you ever tried to successfully service 53 lawns in one day by yourself and maintain any semblance of quality?

You mention customers screwing over the company by utilizing the service calls we offer them. You go so far to imply they do this to cancel rounds and avoid paying for service. Are you aware that we typically over treat lawns between Thanksgiving and Christmas? Customers who have rounds that we hadn't had time to complete get them all done in the final 6 weeks of the year so the company doesn't lose revenue. Would you want your lawn fertilized weekly? Do you think this is beneficial to the customer or the environment?

Proactive service calls you say? We were told not to put those in because they are time wasters(free service) and they lower the branch's score.

How about you address the cheap, highly volatile fertilizers that are applied. Notice any burned lawns in the warm weather states? Try this one on, when we do start burning lawns our GM has the trucks filled with nothing but H2O and small amounts of Iron. That's the answer for when it's too hot- don't get better fertilizers, just don't put any in the tanks.

Homeowners- Do yourselves a favor and hire a local company. Find someone that actually cares about the results and delivers what they promise.

Remember to also add your messed up lawn pictures, your comments about poor customer service, and your employee complaints about the way you've been treated while with TruGreen. 2 million customers can disappear just as quickly as 2.

You guys are full of it. The only thing I heard from your comment is that you want to distance yourselves even more from the customer by using computerization and gadgets. That way, when "something goes wrong" (and it will) you can blame it on the computers. It's like buying a car.

The more electronic conveniences, the more *** that can go wrong. You guys are well beyond that point. It doesn't matter what "systems" you add.

When you treat your employees like shiit, you will ultimately provide shiity service. Nice try........

TO: The original poster;

Thank you for rising up above the fray and posting positive comments about your good experience with TruGreen. The fact that TruGreen has over 2 million customers is a well documented fact on the Internet.

I have been with TruGreen since the early 1990's. And I have seen my fair share of ""Professional Customers"" that deliberately manipulate our system to their favor. Like calling for Service Calls just to get FREE treatments. Then cancelling off their late season rounds.

Or just refusing to pay for services rendered.

Now, moving forward a lot of great improvements are happening at TruGreen. We have the RED-1 process, which has re-constituted the old ChemLawn PRO-ACTIVE Service Calls. This empowers Specialists to follow-up on existing lawn problems, before the next scheduled visit. We also have the new "TruGreen Mission", a centralized work order, billing and customer management system.

MISSION is an entire technology platform that will ultimately simplyfy and modernize our internal processes and make it easier for our customers to communicate and interact with Trugreen. The TruTrack computers will allow Specialists to print Work Orders in their trucks. Trugreen Mission will include an improved customer portal as well as Smartphone application. Plus integrated interactive voice response capabilities to guide customers through self-service options over their phone.

Lastly, I am very excited about TruGreen's new fall/winter service-line of doing blown-in attic insulation.

Now, everyone go to TruGreen's Facebook page and add your "like" to the 4100+ "likes" that have already been posted!!! :)

Haha! Unfortunately it's not one isolated area or complaint.

It's company wide. TruGreen was a good company at one time, then they got to big for their britches and now have to sell their souls so Servicemaster and CD&R can make a quick buck. They're going nowhere fast because of poor "unwritten" company policies which screw the customer and the employees. I feel sorry for whatever company aquires them next........That is the plan, right guys?

People of America, do your research! You've been warned.......

Well is Obvious there will always be unsatisfied customers in general and people can't just pin point at one company perhaps there is also people or customers who agree to a service and then once they get the service and they don't want to pay what do they say " well I ain't paying for the service because I'm not happy" is just like buying a shirt at the store wear it to a party then they retun it with the excuse it didn't fit right... !! :p :?
