I spend more on my lawn care than anyone on my street and my lawn looks much worse than anyone else's. I have been a TruGreen customer for the past ten years.

This year has been unbelievable. First they failed to do services in the spring. They claim it was a computer failure. So they start applications in June but they're doing applications they should have done in March and April.

You don't spray pre-emergents in June when the weeds are actively growing. The last application was for crabgrass which should have been done in May (three months ago). It killed the crabgrass along with my lawn. I called to complain and they said they would send out a rep within the next three days.

A week later he shows and says the yard has been "tinged" but not to worry because it will green back up. A month has elapsed since the crabgrass application and my lawn is still brown. They will not accept responsibility for their mistakes. A year ago I would have recommended TruGreen to my friends.

Something changed there but I don't know what. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone now.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

TruGreen Pros: Unhappy.

TruGreen Cons: Products that killed my grass, Dismissal of customer needs.

Location: Clarksville, Tennessee

You DO realize they don't use pre-emergents for weeds don't you?. The Spring pre-emergents are for crabgrass.

Even then if the soil temp ia already above the threshold for the crabgrass to germinate it may be too late even in March and April.

Do a little research before you run your mouth against such a great company. Tool.
